When is the transition taking place?

Johnny will serve as Lead Pastor and Elder through September 19, 2021

Why is Pastor Johnny resigning?

Over the past few months, Johnny has been in prayer and has sought God's face and truly believes that God is moving and leading he and his family to a new assignment in Giddings, Texas.

What's next?

The pastors will lead a process of praying and defining needs regarding the selection of a future Lead Pastor, and will regularly communicate updates throughout. The Pastors will being preaching on a rotating basis starting September 26, 2021.

Will this transition change the vision and mission of the church?

No. Grace Church is committed to seek and save the lost by loving Jesus, loving people and advancing the Gospel. Our search will focus around building a team committed to the same vision and mission.

Who can I speak to about the transition?

Any pastor is available to meet and discuss questions you may have. In fact, we invite and prefer direct and open conversation. The pastors are Jamie Barnett, Aaron Davis, Steven Peck and Don Schwaniger. You can reach the pastors at pastors@gracelou.com

What can I do?

1. Pray - For Johnny, for Grace, for your pastors and for guidance for all of us as we move forward.
2. Trust - Your pastors to follow God's calling and prompting
3. Serve - Continue to serve if you are serving, and if you are not, now is a great time to start.
4. Give - Continue to support the church. We will keep moving forward and we don't know what all resources will be needed yet.
5. Community - Stay connected to us and each other.
6. Faith - Stay faithful as we move together towards the future at Grace Church that God is planning.
