During our family meeting last month, as a church, we were challenged with how we can can respond to everything written in the prospectus. Our response is to pray, give, and raise the bar. I attached the Prospectus for your viewing:

On Sunday, November 19th, we will have our Commitment Sunday. We will be taking time in our service to worship through committing in our giving and placing our commitment cards in the commitment box.

As your family continues to consider your monthly commitment, remember that it will take every family of all situations and financial statuses. There is a part that we all share to giving generously.  The widow who gave her two copper coins understood that she needed to give generously.

And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.
— Mark 12:41-44

It will take all of us. Every family unit matters, from those who give $20 a month to those who give $750 a month.

This Sunday each family unit who has a record of giving this year will receive their year-to-date Giving statement. As you prepare to consider your commitment for 2018 and beyond, take a look at your giving statement and pray through how God may be challenging you to give generously.

There are five types of givers that define and can aid in how you can consider to grow in your generosity.
